Private Nurse

We are seeking an experienced, compassionate Registered Nurse to provide personalized one-on-one care for a dignified older gentleman in his private home in Narragansett, RI.

This unique role blends skilled nursing care with meaningful companionship and social engagement. The ideal candidate is clinically confident, emotionally intuitive, and comfortable accompanying the gentleman to community and family activities.

Schedule:

• Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday
• 8:00am - 8:00pm
• Seasonal: May through October

Role Overview:

The position combines medical oversight with active companionship and lifestyle support.

Responsibilities:

•  Provide engaging companionship and conversation
•  Accompany the gentleman to lunches, dinners, appointments, errands, and   family gatherings
•  Offer social cues and gentle guidance during outings
•  Drive safely to appointments and activities
•  Prepare nutritious meals and encourage hydration
•  Assist with mobility, fall prevention, and prescribed exercises
•  Support CPAP use, hygiene, and daily routines
•  Administer medications and monitor vital signs
•  Provide skilled nursing care and ongoing health monitoring
•  Observe and communicate changes in health or behavior

•  RN with 3+ years of clinical experience
•  Experience with older adults; dementia experienced preferred
•  Warm, patient, and socially engaging
•  Professional, discreet, and dependable
•  Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
•  Excellent references

• $600 per day (W-2 position)
