Commercial Maintenance Technician

Picerne Real Estate Group has been building and managing properties on a continuing basis since 1925. We are currently seeking a Commercial Maintenance Technician with proven skills for retail and office properties located in Cranston and Warwick, RI. 

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Travel between 20+ local properties as needed. Respond to inspect site issues/work orders as requested by Property Manager. Make minor repairs, including basic mechanical, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and painting as needed.
• Demonstrate effective and exceptional communication skills for communicating with tenants, coworkers, and vendors.
• Demonstrate ability to work alone and follow safety protocols.
• Take initiative to suggest required property improvements.
• Inspect grounds and pick up trash at properties. Inspect roofs, lighting, and HVAC systems regularly.
• Meet with and give access to HVAC, fire alarm, electrical, and plumbing vendors when scheduled.
• Manage janitorial vendors and janitorial supply inventory at office properties.

• Valid driver's license required.
• Reliable vehicle to start, mileage will be paid, with possibility for a company vehicle.
• Background and drug screening required.
• Monday-Friday 7:00 am-3:30 pm. Some on-call time is required for emergencies.
